Warehouse Facilities Technician

Pay: $20.00 $23.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

Location: Southside Jacksonville, FL 32258 (Reliable transportation required)

Job Description

We have a client looking for a dependable Warehouse Facilities Technician to help maintain the day-to-day operation of their warehouse facility located on the Southside of Jacksonville (32258).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined and enjoys a varied workday. Approximately 70% of the role involves maintenance and facility support, while the remaining 30% consists of janitorial and warehouse upkeep. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll be responsible for a wide variety of tasks that help keep the warehouse operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized facility, and knows when an issue should be escalated to an outside service provider.

Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Equipment & Facility Maintenance

• Perform weekly battery maintenance on warehouse equipment, including watering forklift batteries.

• Perform basic conveyor maintenance, including changing O-rings and replacing basic wear items.

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections throughout the facility.

• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and report larger repairs to management.

• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized equipment repairs.

• Assist with general building maintenance and facility upkeep.

Warehouse & Janitorial Support

• Operate the warehouse floor scrubber (Zamboni) to maintain clean warehouse floors.

• Keep restrooms operational by performing basic maintenance such as unclogging toilets (cleaning is handled by a contracted service).

• Remove, repair, and organize broken or damaged pallets.

• Collect trash throughout the warehouse.

• Assist with general warehouse cleaning and organization.

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform monthly building inspections.

• Pressure wash designated exterior areas when needed.

• Assist with miscellaneous maintenance and warehouse support projects.

• Communicate maintenance concerns and safety issues to management.

• Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.

Job Requirements

• Previous maintenance, facilities, warehouse maintenance, or industrial maintenance experience preferred.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

• Experience using hand and power tools.

• Forklift or material handling equipment experience is a plus.

• Conveyor maintenance experience is a plus but not required.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and lift throughout the workday.

• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors as needed.

• Must have reliable transportation.

• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
